The Treasures of Nasado

Nasado is a curated source for fine silver jewelry. Mexican modernistwork from the Taxco renaissance, signed Navajo and Zuni jewelry, Tuareg silver from Niger sourced direct from the workshop, and other silvertreasures from around the world. Five years on Etsy, more than a thousand pieces curated, every one chosen for the quality of its craft and the integrity of its making.

The makers we work with
Our Tuareg pieces come direct from the Koumama family in Agadez,Niger: twenty-five generations of metalsmiths in fine silver. Fatima Koumama signs the Chat Chat earrings. Elhadji Koumama signs the rings, bangles, and ebony cuffs. These pieces are made for us, not pulled from secondary markets

.From Mexico, we carry signed work by the masters of the Taxco silver renaissance: Antonio Pineda, William Spratling, Margot de Taxco, Sign Pineda, Héctor Aguilar, Guillermo Arregui.

From the American Southwest, our Navajo and Zuni cuffs and rings are attributed to named silversmiths whenever the hallmark allows. Stones identified by mine where documented.

How we work
Every piece is examined, weighed, measured, and photographed in detailbefore listing. Hallmarks shown. If we're not certain about something,we say so. The work speaks.

A note on the name
Nasado is a portmanteau of my daughter's name. She likes silver, too, and has grown into a cheerful and capable hand around the shop. We work out of Brooklyn. The collection grows by the season, not the week.
