Sterling Silver Turquoise Navajo Ring

I love this piece of turquoise. Why? It’s this weird little nugget with all of this polish. It’s aging so it has that “turquoise” hue to it. It’s just a beautiful stone. Then the anonymous artist -- as they were in the ‘70s before stamping became the norm -- decided to add this leaf-like piece of silver on the side of the ring. It’s almost like the turquoise is bashful.

That’s it, really. It’s a pretty ring. I recommend it to folks who want a turquoise ring, but aren’t into massive stones with rocks in it. I love that stuff a lot. But I’m a turquoise addict and I need help. This piece appeals to anyone, though. When these are done, oftentimes the host rock is carefully cut out. So the piece like this either starts as a smaller piece of turquoise that’s polished and a ring is made around it. Or a larger piece of turquoise is cut to make smaller rings. It’s hard to know as it’s a vintage ring. But my point really is that the cleanness of the stone coupled with the nugget style is a good compromise. You get one part rustic and the other part classy. You could become like a rodeo princess with this ring. Life goals: Rodeo Princess. Wearing a tiara and leather chaps. With this ring, of course.
