DetailsThis wide sterling silver cuff is a masterclass in
Alex Sanchez's signature petroglyph style. Worked
in heavy gauge sterling silver, the band is alive
with hand-stamped and appliquéd petroglyphic imagery —
spirals, spirit figures, geometric symbols, and
ancient motifs drawn directly from the canyon walls
of Chaco Canyon. The oxidized background throws every
stamped detail into sharp relief, giving the piece
the feeling of an artifact pulled from deep time and
brought into the present.
This is not production jewelry. Every mark on this
cuff was placed by hand, with intention, by one of
the most respected silversmiths working in the
Navajo and Zuni tradition today.

Set into the cuff is a robust oval Arizona Blue
turquoise stone — one of the most prized turquoise
varieties in the American Southwest. Arizona Blue
is known for its exceptionally vivid, saturated
blue color, clean face, and the unmistakable depth
that only naturally formed American turquoise
carries. Hand-selected by the artist and bezel-set
in polished sterling silver, the stone anchors the
composition with a burst of pure Southwestern color.
Arizona Blue turquoise is increasingly rare and
sought after by collectors — its presence in a
signed Alex Sanchez piece makes this cuff
particularly desirable.
